Janisha is an interior designer, prop & set stylist and visual creative with over seven year’s experience in the interior design industry. She’s worked on multifaceted and layered high-end residential, hospitality, and commercial projects throughout her career. Her multi-disciplinary background allows for a creative approach and thought process when it comes to design and styling. For her, this means creating environments that honor natural materials, offer a sense of comfort and functionality, while being thought provoking.

Her career started in the fashion world as a corporate merchandiser for brands like Diane Von Furstenburg, Ralph Lauren and Coach. After five years in the industry and being able to work with in-house interior teams, her discipline shifted. Janisha has worked for interior and architecture firms including, Robyn Karp Design, Deborah Berke Partners, Lucy Harris Studio, Carol Egan Interiors and Pembrooke and Ives. During her time at these design studios, she has honed in on her design sensibility and technical skills.

Cultural design, human behavior and habitable environments are driving inspiration to Janisha’s design process. She relishes in the honesty and practicality of other countries designs and how cultural differences influence design worldwide. Janisha enjoys exploring materiality, color, forms, and vintage design, in addition to seeking out upcoming furniture designers, textiles, and technology.
